Peter Johann has been making music his entire life. He started out playing piano but over time found that guitar was a better fit. he has played for sold out auditoriums, on 94.1 WYSP, and has had a few gigs in Nashville as a solo artist. Other then funking out with the band, Pete enjoys kayaking, hiking, and any shenanigans Josh convinces him to get into.
Andy Pereira
Alto Sax, Percussion, Piano
Andrew has been playing the sax since the (chicken) tender age of 4. His musical influences include Kenny G and sexy sax man as well as Steve Buscemi for some reason. Andy has toured internationally with a number of small groups, gaining vast cultural knowledge from every land he has visited. With this knowledge, he plans to form his own country in the tropics and rule with an iron fist.
Cara Montagnese
Lead Vocals
Cara is originally a native of Palmyra, Pennsylvania and relocated to Bethlehem after she graduated from Moravian College and fell in love with the Lehigh Valley. During her time at Moravian College she received a Bachelor's of Music Education with a concentration in classical and jazz voice. She currently teaches vocal music at the Arts Academy Charter Middle School. In her spare time she enjoys the occasional sugar daddy and mooching off her neighbors wifi.
Ian Murphy
Alto Saxophone
Ian has been playing the saxophone since the fourth grade. His biggest influences include such artists as Cannonball Adderley, David Sanborn, and Bill Clinton. He also enjoys trying to sing. In his spare time, you will find Ian at his local gym or fitness club.
Andy Sabol
Tenor Saxophone
Andy has been playing sax since the age of 9. He has played in jazz bands, jazz combos, funk bands, and rock bands. His favorite sax players are Bob Reynolds and Joshua Redman. In his spare time he enjoys video editing, video games and blowing air through a piece of metal.
Derek Strahl
Bass
Derek has been playing bass and drums since he was 14 years old. He has played with various bands in the Lehigh Valley with genres ranging from metal-core to reggae. Some of his biggest influences include the late great James Jamerson, Stuart Zender, and Verdine White. Besides playing music, Derek enjoys working outside, cooking, and listening to music.
David Fahim
Keyboards, Trombone, Vocals
Dave has been playing the piano and trombone for 15 years. Though a self-proclaimed jazz musician, Dave is comfortable in a number of musical settings, including classical, broadway, rock, funk and hip hop. His hobbies include pwning n00bs and playing Pokemon.
Joshua Laundenslager
Drums and Percussion
Josh has been playing the drums since age 8 and has even improved slightly since that time. He is a huge fan of latin, funk and almost anything with a good beat. Including the drums, Josh has a healthy amount of hobbies that cost him an unhealthy amount of money. Josh is also the only ginger in the band, which is a mostly irrelevant fact.
The Peter Johann Band is available to play at Weddings, Corporate Functions, Parties, Festivals and other Special Events in the Lehigh Valley and Greater Philadelphia Area.
